According to the university's public relations office, based on research conducted by Stanford University scientists on Scopus data, a list of the 100,000 most-cited scientists across all fields, as well as the top 2% in specific scientific areas, was identified and introduced. Among them, two faculty members from Amol University of Special Modern Technologies were included among the top 2% of the world's most-cited researchers in 2024, based on their performance in 2023.

The Vice President of Education and Research at Amol University of Special Modern Technologies announced the release of the list of the world's top 2% most-cited scientists in 2024, based on evaluations conducted by Stanford University using recognized indices and Scopus data. He stated that the indices used in the analysis included the number of published papers and citations, the number of single-author papers, the percentage of self-citations, the ranking of scientists in their specialized fields, and the identification of their specific areas of expertise. Among the listed names were Dr. Hadi Rezazadeh and Dr. Bahram Ghorbani, two faculty members of the Faculty of Engineering Modern Technologies at Amol University of Special Modern Technologies.

He further added that it is worth mentioning that Scopus and Elsevier classify all academic outputs into 22 fields, and within each field, the top 2% of scientists worldwide are recognized.

Additionally, Dr. Akbar Hajizadeh Moqaddam, the president of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies, issued a message congratulating Dr. Hadi Rezazadeh and Dr. Bahram Ghorbani, two faculty members of the university, for their inclusion in the list of the world's top 2% scientists according to the WOS and ESI scientometric databases for 2024. He expressed his gratitude to these two researchers for elevating the reputation of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies.
