According to the public relations report of the university, Dr. Somayeh Rahaiee, the former director of the laboratories at Amol University of Special Modern Technologies, announced the performance report of the university laboratories for the years 2022 and 2023 as follows:
The laboratory complex of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies is one of the members of the Strategic Technology Laboratory Network, offering a variety of laboratory services in the fields of biotechnology, veterinary medicine, quality control and chemical testing of food products, molecular biology, electrochemistry, rapid processing center, and medicinal plants to a diverse range of clients, including students, faculty members, researchers, and technologists.
She then referred to some of the most important achievements of the laboratory:
1. Establishment of the laboratory network unit in the university's organizational chart as a separate unit.
2. Purchase of necessary laboratory equipment with a budget of 50,000,000,000 Rials.
3. Obtaining the national standard 17025 for food testing (accredited laboratory) as the first university in Mazandaran province.
4. Receiving financial support from the Strategic Technology Laboratory Network for the purchase of laboratory equipment exceeding 2 billion Rials.
5. Launching a goods request system in the laboratory section consisting of four separate warehouses for each faculty (creating a database of laboratory equipment and materials).
6. Launching and upgrading two biotechnology laboratories and a research laboratory for medicinal plants within the Strategic Technology Laboratory Network, with a total of 5 active and capable laboratories present in the LabsNet network.
7. Updating the laboratory website, the university, the Scientific Laboratory Network of Iran (Sha'aa), laboratory services, and fee schedules, preparing a comprehensive laboratory manual.
8. Preparing and updating laboratory protocols and guidelines.
9. Enhancing the skill level and effectiveness of the laboratory manager and experts through participation in relevant seminars and workshops.
In conclusion, Dr. Rahaiee noted that the laboratory network of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies, with its suitable laboratory infrastructure, is ready to provide laboratory services on different platforms of the Strategic Technology Laboratory Network and Sha'aa to clients throughout the country.
