According to the university's public relations office, the Second National Conference on Modern Veterinary Technologies, hosted by Amol University of Special Modern Technologies, took place on September 5, 2024, with the presence of Dr. Akbar Hajizadeh, the university president, as well as vice-presidents, directors, prominent veterinary experts, faculty members, students, and researchers. The conference, which focused on modern veterinary science, knowledge efficiency, and public health, was conducted in the form of lectures, workshops, scientific sessions, and webinars, alongside the presentation of new scientific and research achievements by scholars. It was held both in-person and virtually at the Veterinary Faculty of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies.

The president of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies stated that one of the main objectives of this national conference was to strengthen the connection between universities and the industry and foster mutual collaboration for further cooperation.
Dr. Akbar Hajizadeh-Moghaddam stated that technologies and innovations in basic sciences, pathobiology, clinical veterinary sciences, and the challenges and innovations in food quality control and safety are among the key topics of the Second National Conference on Veterinary New Technologies.

He further added that other anticipated themes of the one-day conference include new approaches in fisheries and aquaculture, the use of medicinal plants and natural compounds in veterinary medicine, modern methods of disease diagnosis and prevention, artificial intelligence, the metaverse and its applications in veterinary science, employment and economy, zoonotic diseases, biotechnological and nano-biotechnological innovations in veterinary medicine, animal rights in Iran, and innovations in the production of biological compounds and vaccines.

The president of Amol University of Special Modern Technologies continued by stating that this conference can provide a suitable platform for exchanging new findings in veterinary science and enhancing specialized skills.

Dr. Ali Nikpay, head of the organizing committee of the Second National Conference on Modern Veterinary Technologies, mentioned that the conference received 514 research and scientific papers from researchers, professors, and students through the conference secretariat at Amol University of Special Modern Technologies. Of these, around 400 papers were submitted by participants to the secretariat in Amol, and after the review process, 415 papers were accepted.
He added that out of the accepted papers, around 245 top papers were selected by the conference's jury for oral presentation.

Dr. Nikpay, the head of the Second National Conference on Modern Veterinary Technologies, also noted that 170 papers were presented as posters during the conference. He clarified that due to time constraints and the one-day format of the conference, only 50 of the top papers will be presented orally.

Dr. Nikpay evaluated the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the conference as satisfactory, stating that the event, attended by leading veterinary experts and professors from across the country, covered modern veterinary medicine, efficient knowledge, and public health through lectures, workshops, and webinars.

He continued, highlighting that technologies and innovations in basic sciences, pathobiology, clinical veterinary sciences, and challenges and innovations in food quality control and safety are key themes of the conference.

He emphasized that the conference offers a valuable platform for exchanging new findings in veterinary science and enhancing specialized skills.
