Two Faculty Members of the Amol University of Special Modern Technologies Ranked Among the World's Top One Percent Highly Cited Researchers

According to the Public Relations Office of the University, in the latest evaluations conducted by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) based on the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, two faculty members along with the acting president of the Amol University of Special Modern Technologies were listed among the 1,142 Iranian researchers ranked in the top one percent of highly cited scholars worldwide in 2025.

Dr. Nazari, the University’s Vice President for Education and Research, announced that two faculty members have been included in the list of the world’s top one percent highly cited researchers. He emphasized that the notable presence of Dr. Bahram Ghorbani and Dr. Hadi Rezazadeh among the world’s leading researchers reflects the University’s growing standing in international scientific and research arenas. He also noted that Dr. Maleki, the acting president of the University and a faculty member at the University of Mazandaran, is likewise included in the list of the world’s top one percent scientists.

Referring to the report published by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), he added that according to the latest evaluations of the ESI database affiliated with the Web of Science (WOS), a total of 1,142 top Iranian researchers have been included in the list of the world’s top one percent highly cited researchers in 2025, among whom are scholars from this university.

The Vice President for Education and Research further elaborated on the selection criteria, explaining that this distinguished recognition is based on the number of citations received by researchers’ scientific outputs over a ten-year period across 22 subject areas in the sciences and social sciences. Inclusion in this prestigious international list signifies the quality and global impact of the research conducted by the University’s faculty members.

Dr. Nazari concluded by expressing appreciation for the scholarly efforts of the University’s researchers, stating that this academic achievement not only reflects the commendable dedication of the University's scientific community but also represents a significant step toward fulfilling the University’s strategic vision at the international level. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to developing and supporting high-quality and influential research activities on a global scale.
