Establishment of the Biomedical Engineering Program at Amol University of Special Modern Technologies

According to the Public Relations Office of the University, quoting the Vice President for Education and Research; in line with the university’s demand-driven development plan and based on the Mazandaran Province Spatial Development Plan, Amol University of Special Modern Technologies, with official authorization from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, will admit students to the Bachelor’s program in “Biomedical Engineering” starting from Mehr 1404 (September 2025).

Dr. Nazari, Vice President for Education and Research at the university, referring to the launch of the Biomedical Engineering program in the 1404-1405 (2025-2026) academic year, added: Biomedical Engineering is one of the key and interdisciplinary fields that, by combining knowledge from engineering, electrical, mechanical, medical, biological, and computer sciences, focuses on the design, construction, maintenance, and improvement of tools, equipment, and systems required for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

He further noted that, considering the country’s growing need for advanced technologies in health and treatment, as well as the university’s proximity to major medical and research centers in Mazandaran Province, Amol University of Special Modern Technologies aims, through the establishment of this program, to play a leading role in the localization and development of medical equipment and in providing innovative solutions to challenges in the health sector.

Student admission in this program can also pave the way for broader research and industrial collaborations with hospitals and knowledge-based companies active in the medical field.
